1.No Legal Advice
CaseAlly is a legal analysis tool, not a law firm. Nothing produced by the Service is legal advice. All analysis, summaries, outlines, exhibits, exports, and chat responses are informational only. You must verify every output against the primary source documents before using it in any filing, hearing, negotiation, or other legal proceeding.
2.No Attorney-Client Relationship
Use of CaseAlly does not create any attorney-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, or other professional relationship between you and CaseAlly, Saint Michael Ventures LLC, or any attorney associated with the platform. Communications submitted through CaseAlly (including chat messages, uploaded documents, and portal shares) are not subject to the attorney-client privilege unless you have an independent attorney-client relationship with the attorney receiving them, separate from your use of the Service.
3.AI Limitations
While CaseAlly uses advanced AI to analyze legal documents, AI systems can and do make errors. All output should be independently verified. In particular:
- AI may misread context, misattribute quotations, or misclassify findings.
- AI may produce fabricated citations that point to documents, pages, or findings that do not exist. CaseAlly flags these when it can, but manual verification is required.
- Optical character recognition can produce errors on poor-quality scans, which downstream analysis inherits.
- Outputs labeled Flagged for Review, Inferred, or AI-Generated, Verify Before Use require particular scrutiny.
4.No Guarantee of Outcomes
CaseAlly cannot predict or guarantee any legal, procedural, or factual outcome. Prior results do not guarantee similar outcomes. Nothing generated by the Service should be interpreted as a prediction, a promise, or a settlement offer. Every case is different, and outcomes depend on facts, evidence, procedure, and the discretion of judges and other parties that CaseAlly cannot observe or control.
5.Your Responsibilities
- Verify quotes, citations, and legal conclusions against the uploaded source document.
- Consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction for advice tailored to your case.
- Respect court orders, sealing requirements, and confidentiality obligations before uploading documents.
- Do not upload content you are not authorized to share, process, or disclose.
6.Jurisdictional Scope and Limitations
CaseAlly is purpose-built for North Carolina family law. Outputs should not be relied on for matters outside North Carolina. Rules, forms, statutes, and case law vary by jurisdiction; outputs may be incomplete or incorrect outside their intended scope.
Even within North Carolina, the jurisdiction profile CaseAlly uses is maintained for informational purposes and may not reflect the most recent legislative or judicial changes. Verify every statutory citation, every rule reference, and every case citation against a primary source before relying on it.
7.Pro Se Users
If you are using CaseAlly as a self-represented (pro se) litigant, please understand that CaseAlly is a research and organization tool, not a substitute for a lawyer. Self-representation in family law carries real risks: missed deadlines, procedural defaults, and adverse rulings that attorneys could have prevented. Consider consulting a licensed attorney, especially before filing pleadings or appearing at hearings. Many North Carolina bar associations offer reduced-fee consultations and lawyer-referral services.
8.Client Portal
Any case review shared through the CaseAlly client portal is a courtesy preview of an attorney's work product. It is not legal advice to the client, and it does not bind the attorney to any particular interpretation or outcome.
